Lazerian was invited by Glossop Creates, to create a series of bird boxes in partnership with Glossopdale Furniture Project (GFP) to be housed around Glossop. GFP donated pre-loved furniture and offcuts to construct the boxes.

Lazerian invited Glossop residents to build their own box, and clad it in a series of interlinking “tetris” shapes designed on Grasshopper. Furthermore, to create the colour palette, volunteers sent in their favourite photographs of Glossop in spring. Using Adobe colour, Lazerian picked the most prominent colours from the photos.

The resulting birdhouses serve both practical and symbolic purposes by blending nature with the town’s spirit. They are not just homes for birds but also pieces of art that reflect Glossop’s unique identity.
