3D DESIGNER

NOMA [Bio Receptive Brutalism]

SITE LOCATION : NOMA, MANCHESTER

BRIEF :

How can we use design to benefit the local ecology and change urban perspectives within one of the largest developments in Europe? NOMA, Manchester.

RESPONSE :

Through site observation, I imitated the micro and macro structures that give life to micro-organisms.

I create a series of bioreceptive panels to encourage moss growth. Moss acts as a carbon sink, counter acting nearby air pollution and creating a crucial urban micr-ecosystem for pioneers species.
